This example recreates KP Brehmer’s *Korrektur der Nationalfarben*, replacing the German flag’s colors with horizontal bands sized to show wealth distribution in 2023 Germany: the upper class owns 61.25%, the middle class 36.44%, and the lower class 2.31%. The code uses D3’s `select` and `selectAll` to create an SVG with three rectangles, each fill and width bound to the data. The `join` method handles binding, while cumulative width calculations position each rectangle correctly.
