Coronavirus Deaths by Country over Time (with Voronoi Hover)

This example displays cumulative COVID-19 deaths per country over time using a log-scaled line chart. A Voronoi overlay, constructed with `d3.Delaunay`, enables precise hover detection across all data points, highlighting the nearest country’s line and displaying a tooltip with the death count, country name, and date. The chart uses `d3.scaleTime`, `d3.scaleLog`, and `d3.line` with React for rendering, pulling timeseries data from the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 dataset.

Migrant Deaths Linked Views with Brushing

A world map plots migrant deaths by location, with circle size proportional to the number of dead and missing. A time-series histogram below shows the deaths aggregated by month, and brushing a time range filters the map to only show incidents within that period. Built with React, the visualization uses d3.geoNaturalEarth1 and d3.geoPath for map projections, d3.scaleSqrt for bubble sizing, and d3.brushX for interactive temporal selection. Data comes from the Missing Migrants Project CSV, with country boundaries from the World Atlas TopoJSON.
