Ordinal Scatter Plot
This ordinal scatter plot displays population estimates for the top 10 most populous countries in 2018, sourced from the United Nations World Population Prospects. Each country is positioned along the x-axis using a point scale, while the y-axis uses a linear scale to represent population values. The visualization is rendered as SVG circles with steelblue fill, built using d3.csv, scalePoint, scaleLinear, axisLeft, and axisBottom from D3 v5. The chart includes styled tick marks and labels, though the current code does not yet render the data points themselves.
