Fork of Let's make a map with D3.js!

This example displays a natural Earth projection of the world, with countries rendered as light green polygons on a blue sphere. The visualization uses D3.js v5 and the topojson library to convert geographic data from the world-atlas package into SVG paths. The code employs d3.geoPath with d3.geoNaturalEarth1 for the projection, and the topojson feature function to extract country boundaries from the TopoJSON source. A semi-transparent black stroke outlines each country, while the sphere’s fill is set via the CSS class.

Fork of Fork of Polished World Map

This visualization displays a world map using a custom Interrupted Boggs projection, rendered as SVG paths within a React application. It shows landmasses in teal, graticules in light gray, and a subtle sphere outline, with country interiors highlighted in a brighter cyan. The map uses data from the World Atlas TopoJSON, processed through `d3.geoPath` and `topojson.feature` and `topojson.mesh` to generate land polygons and country interior boundaries. Styling is applied via CSS classes, and the visualization loads asynchronously, displaying a large "Loading..." message until the data is ready.

Fork of AQI Data in America by State

This interactive dashboard displays AQI data across American states on a choropleth map, with a linked time-series histogram below. The map fills each state with a color from a quantile scale based on its average AQI, while the histogram shows monthly mean AQI values using `d3.bin` and a brush for temporal filtering. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `geoAlbersUsa` and `geoPath` for map projections and SVG rendering, sourcing data from a CSV of ozone measurements.
