Ten square blocks of equal size render for the top ten countries by population, using a fixed 300-by-300 pixel rectangle per data row. The visualization loads population figures from a CSV file and multiplies each value by 1000 to convert from thousands. Using D3 v7’s `select`, `csv`, and data-join method, the code appends SVG `rect` elements to a static 960-by-500 canvas, but does not position them or encode population differences.
