Let's make a face with D3.js!

A smiling face is drawn as a static SVG composition, with a yellow circular head, two black eyes, and a mouth rendered as an arc path. The code uses D3 v5 selections and the `arc` generator to construct the mouth, while CSS and HTML define the page and SVG canvas. Circle attributes are computed from the SVG's width and height to position features proportionally, and the mouth is grouped and translated to the center.

Fork of Fork of HTML Starter with SVG

This example presents a basic SVG scene composed of circles, rectangles, lines, and a path, rendered within a 960x500 viewport. The graphic demonstrates primitive shapes and SVG grouping via the `<g>` element, with some elements transformed using the `translate` attribute. CSS styling applies a black stroke to the line group and a blue stroke with rounded joins to the path. The code uses plain HTML, SVG, and CSS, with no JavaScript libraries or data sources, serving as a minimal starter template for visualization work.

Fork of HTML Starter

This example presents a minimal "Cars Report" page using plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It renders a heading and an unordered list of two car items, with the first item highlighted in blue via the `.highlighted` CSS class. The page uses a monospace font at 2em for the entire body, and the styles are defined in an external `styles.css` file alongside an inline style block. No JavaScript logic is currently implemented, so the visualization is static.
