This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a left-to-right layout with horizontal links. Built with D3 v5, it leverages `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.tree` to process the JSON data, while `d3.linkHorizontal` generates the curved paths. The SVG renders country names as text nodes with font size decreasing by depth, and implements `d3.zoom` for panning and scaling. Data comes from a static `data.json` file.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization presents a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with each country labeled as a leaf node. The tree layout positions nodes horizontally, with links drawn as curved paths and text labels scaled by depth. Built with D3 v5, it uses `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, and `d3.linkHorizontal` to compute and render the layout, while a zoom behavior enables panning and scaling of the SVG canvas. The data is loaded from a JSON file, and the styling uses a serif font with orange link strokes.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with country names displayed at varying font sizes based on their depth in the tree. It uses D3 v5 with the `d3.tree` layout and `d3.hierarchy` to compute the node positions, while `d3.linkHorizontal` generates the curved connecting paths. The SVG rendering supports zooming and panning through D3's `d3.zoom` behavior, and the data comes from a local `data.json` file containing the nested geographic structure.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a left-to-right dendrogram layout. The SVG rendering uses D3 v5’s `tree` and `hierarchy` functions to compute node positions, while `linkHorizontal` generates curved paths for parent-child connections. Country names appear as text labels with font sizes scaled inversely by depth. The data comes from a static `data.json` file, and the example is a fork that modifies layout and styling.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with each country name displayed as a text label connected by branching paths. The tree layout uses `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` to compute node positions, while `d3.linkHorizontal` draws the curved links. The SVG rendering supports pan and zoom via `d3.zoom`, and text styling uses a Playfair Display font with white shadows for readability. Data comes from a JSON file containing the nested geographic hierarchy.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with each leaf node representing a country rendered as text. Using the D3 v5 tree layout, the code converts nested JSON data into a horizontal dendrogram, connecting parent-child relationships with curved paths generated by `linkHorizontal`. Text nodes are positioned via `d3.hierarchy` and styled with font sizes decreasing by depth. The SVG output supports pan and zoom through D3’s `zoom` behavior, while labels include white text-shadows for readability against the teal link strokes.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The D3.js v5 code uses `d3.tree()` and `d3.hierarchy()` to lay out the data, with `d3.linkHorizontal()` generating the curved connecting paths. Node labels appear as text elements with sizes that decrease with depth, while a `d3.zoom()` handler enables pan and zoom interactions on the SVG. The visualization is based on a static JSON dataset containing the country groupings.

Fork of Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization presents a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a branching layout that expands from left to right. The data is loaded from a JSON file, and the tree structure is rendered as SVG paths and text labels. The code uses D3 v5’s `tree()` layout, `hierarchy()`, and `linkHorizontal()` to compute the layout and draw the connecting links. Users can pan and zoom the entire diagram via the `zoom()` behavior, with text sizing decreasing at deeper levels to fit the hierarchy.
