Tree

Tree!

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world geography, starting from continents and drilling down to countries and subregions. The data is structured as nested JSON objects representing the world, with nodes labeled for regions like Asia and individual nations. Built with D3 v5, it uses the `tree` and `hierarchy` layout functions to compute node positions and `linkHorizontal` to draw the connecting paths. Text labels scale in font size based on depth, and the entire SVG canvas supports pan and zoom via the `zoom` event.

Countries Tree

A hierarchical tree visualization displays the countries of the world organized by continent and subregion, with the root node labeled "World." The visualization uses an SVG rendering approach, with the D3.js library's `tree` layout and `hierarchy` function to compute the node positions from the nested JSON data structure. The `linkHorizontal` path generator draws the connecting links between parent and child nodes, while text elements label each country and region. The data source is a static `data.json` file containing the nested geographic classification.

Tree with D3.js

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree structure of world regions and countries, with the data nested from continents down to individual nations. The layout uses D3’s `tree` and `hierarchy` functions to compute node positions, while horizontal link paths are generated with `linkHorizontal`. The SVG is dynamically sized to the browser viewport, and the tree is rendered entirely as path elements connecting parent and child nodes, with country names shown as labels within the structure.

Data Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world regions and countries, with countries nested under their respective continents and subregions. The tree is rendered with SVG paths connecting parent and child nodes, using a horizontal layout where text labels display country names at sizes that decrease with depth. The code uses D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` APIs to compute the layout, and includes zoom functionality via `d3.zoom`. Data comes from a static JSON file containing the geographic hierarchy.

World Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world regions and countries as an interactive tree. The root node “World” branches into continents, subregions, and individual nations, with text labels sized by depth. Built with D3 v5 in React, it uses `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` with `d3.linkHorizontal` for curved links, while `d3.zoom` enables panning and scaling. Country data comes from `data.json`, rendered as an SVG with Playfair Display typography.

world tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world geography, displaying continents, subregions, and countries as a horizontal tree layout. The data comes from a JSON file with nested parent-child relationships. Using D3 v5, the code applies the d3.tree layout to compute node positions and renders links with d3.linkHorizontal paths in an SVG. The tree spreads from the root node “World” on the left, with branches extending rightward to reveal the full country list.

MY TREE

This example presents a hierarchical tree of world regions and countries, using a horizontal dendrogram layout where the root node, “World,” expands through continents like Asia into sub-regions and individual nations. It uses D3 v5’s `tree` and `hierarchy` functions to compute the layout, with links drawn via `linkHorizontal` paths. The visualization supports zooming and panning through the `d3.zoom` API. Node labels are rendered as SVG text elements with font sizes that shrink based on depth, and the data comes from a JSON file loaded via `json`.
