A sunburst chart visualizes the sequential career paths of male and female participants after high school, with each arc representing a transition between Military, School, Work, or NA categories. A dropdown menu switches between two JSON datasets, and hovering over a segment highlights its ancestor chain while displaying the percentage and raw count of participants following that exact path. The visualization uses d3.partition and d3.arc for the sunburst layout, with breadcrumb trails and mouseover transitions for interactive exploration.

This sunburst chart visualizes the post-high-school pathways of male and female participants, showing the hierarchical flow from initial status through subsequent activities like military service, school, work, or unknown. A dropdown menu switches between the two separate JSON data files. Built with D3 v4, the visualization uses `d3.partition`, `d3.arc`, and `d3.hierarchy` to compute the ring layout, with interactive breadcrumb navigation and mouseover highlighting that displays percentages and raw counts for each path segment.
