This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with each country shown as a text label and connected by curved links. The D3.js code uses the `tree` layout, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` generators to position the nodes and draw the connecting paths. Rendered as an SVG with a fixed viewport, the tree supports zooming through the `zoom` module, which updates the root group’s transform on the `'zoom'` event. Node labels vary in font size based on depth, using the Playfair Display typeface.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with the country names displayed as text labels. The tree layout uses `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` to position nodes, while `d3.linkHorizontal` generates curved paths for the connections. The SVG rendering includes zoom functionality via `d3.zoom`, allowing interactive pan and scale. Data is loaded from a JSON file containing geographical groupings, and text styling uses the Playfair Display font with font sizes that decrease with node depth.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion using a horizontal tree layout. The code renders an SVG with d3.tree and d3.hierarchy to position nodes, while d3.linkHorizontal generates the curved connecting paths. Interactive zooming is enabled through d3.zoom, and text labels display country names with font sizes decreasing by depth level. The data comes from a nested JSON file containing geographic groupings, and nodes are labeled with d3 selections appending text elements styled with Playfair Display font.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout rendered as SVG. The code employs D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` to compute positions and draw curved links, with each node labeled by its region or country name. Users can pan and zoom via `d3.zoom`, with font sizes scaling by node depth. Data comes from a static `data.json` file, and text styling uses the Playfair Display font with white shadows for legibility.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and sub-region. The tree layout displays each country as a text label, with branching paths connecting nations to their regional groupings, using a zoomable interface for navigation. The code uses d3.hierarchy and d3.tree to compute the layout, d3.linkHorizontal for the connecting paths, and d3.zoom for panning and scaling. Data comes from a nested JSON file, and the SVG rendering highlights the structure with teal links and Playfair Display typography.

World Countries Tree

A hierarchical tree visualization displays the world’s countries grouped by continent and subregion, with each node labeled by name. The layout uses D3’s `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` to position nodes, while `d3.linkHorizontal` generates curved connecting paths. Text size decreases with depth, and labels are anchored differently for parent versus child nodes. The SVG rendering supports interactive pan and zoom via D3’s `d3.zoom`, with styling provided by an external stylesheet using the Playfair Display font.

World Countries Tree

This tree visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion down to individual nations. Using D3.js v5 with the `tree` and `hierarchy` layouts, it renders an SVG with horizontal links via `linkHorizontal` and text labels sized by depth. The visualization supports pan and zoom through the `zoom` API, with data loaded from a local JSON file. Text styling uses the Playfair Display font with white shadows for readability against the mint-colored paths.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using data from a nested JSON file. Each country is shown as a text label, positioned according to its depth in the hierarchy, with connecting paths. The D3 v5 library powers the layout, using `d3.tree()`, `d3.hierarchy()`, and `d3.linkHorizontal()` to compute positions and draw the SVG paths. Text labels are rendered with varying font sizes based on depth, and the entire tree can be zoomed and panned via `d3.zoom()`.
