A dynamic SVG landscape demonstrates fundamental shapes, gradients, and animation using native SMIL animations and CSS transitions. The main scene features an animated radial gradient sky, a pulsing sun moving via the `animate` element, and layered landscape paths filled with linear gradients. A second view shows interactive SVG primitives—including circles, rectangles, lines, and curved paths—with hover effects that scale elements and change fill colors. The work relies solely on standard SVG features without external libraries, rendering entirely through the browser's SVG engine.

Fork of SVG Fundamentals

This example demonstrates fundamental SVG shapes and their interactive behavior. Static geometry appears first, including circles, rectangles, lines, and paths with varied fills and strokes, while CSS transitions animate rectangle properties on hover. The visualization then explores advanced SVG features using embedded animations and gradients. A radial gradient defines a sun-like circle with an animated vertical position, while linear gradients fill layered landscape paths. The code also includes a path with an arc and quadratic curve, plus an incomplete gradient definition referencing a missing `sky-gradient` ID. SVG styling uses CSS selectors for shape customization and hover effects.

Fork of SVG Fundamentals Dynamic landscape

A dynamic SVG landscape depicts a stylized sun and layered mountains that transition through a day-night cycle. The code uses SVG gradients (`radialGradient`, `linearGradient`), animated `stop-color` values, and an animated `circle` element's `cy` attribute via the `<animate>` tag. The scene comprises three overlapping path-based terrain layers, with colors shifting between aliceblue, steelblue, and indigo over a 15-second loop. The rendering approach is pure SVG with declarative SMIL animations for both the sun’s movement and the gradient color changes.

Fork: SVG Fundamentals

This example presents a minimalist animated landscape of rolling hills beneath a glowing sun. It demonstrates the use of raw SVG elements—including `<rect>`, `<circle>`, and `<path>`—to construct the scene. Gradients defined within `<defs>` create the sky and terrain coloring. The animation relies on SMIL `<animate>` tags to cycle the sun's position and smoothly shift gradient stop colors between palettes, suggesting a slow transition from day to night.

Fork of SVG Fundamentals Dynamic landscape

A dynamic SVG landscape cycles through a day-night transition, animating a sun descending and rising over layered mountain silhouettes. The scene uses radial and linear gradients whose colors oscillate between aliceblue and indigo or steelblue, driven by SMIL `<animate>` elements on the gradient stops and the sun’s vertical position. The three mountain paths are drawn with static `d` attributes and filled with the animated gradients, producing a minimalist sunrise-to-sunset effect entirely through declarative SVG animations.

Fork of Exercise 1: SVG Fundamentals

An animated SVG landscape depicts a stylized sunrise and sunset cycle over rolling hills. The visualization uses a radial gradient for the sky and linear gradients for two landscape layers, all defined within SVG `defs` tags. The sun, a simple circle, moves vertically via an SVG `<animate>` element, while the gradient colors transition to simulate the shifting light. This example demonstrates fundamental SVG animation and gradient techniques without any external libraries.

Fork of Exercise 1: SVG Fundamentals forked

An animated sunrise and sunset scene rendered entirely with SVG. A radial gradient fills the sky with color that shifts from aliceblue to indigo, while a sun circle moves vertically through the frame using the SVG `<animate>` element. Two curved landscape paths use linear gradients that also animate their color stops, transitioning from aliceblue to midnightblue. The example demonstrates SVG fundamentals, including gradients, paths, and declarative animation, with all motion driven by the `attributeName` and `values` attributes.

fork of exercise 1: SVG Fundamental

This example demonstrates a simple animated landscape composed of SVG shapes, including a gradient-filled sky, a moving circle representing the sun or moon, and two layered landmasses. The scene uses SVG `<rect>`, `<circle>`, and `<path>` elements alongside `<radialGradient>` and `<linearGradient>` definitions. Animation is driven by SVG's native `<animate>` elements, which cycle color changes for the sky gradient and vertical movement for the circle. The code relies solely on standard SVG and HTML APIs, with no external JavaScript libraries.

Fork of Fork of SVG Fundamentals Dynamic landscape

This example shows a full-screen sky landscape that slowly cycles through colors, simulating a sunrise-to-sunset effect. A single SVG rectangle fills the viewport and is painted with a radial gradient, using the `radialGradient` and `stop` elements. The gradient’s first color stop is animated with SMIL’s `<animate>` tag, transitioning between aliceblue and indigo over a 15-second loop to shift the sky’s mood. Built with React, the component renders directly to SVG using JSX, with layout fixed at 960 by 500 pixels.
