This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a tree layout in SVG. The root node is "World," with branches for each continent and further subdivisions down to individual countries. The code uses D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` to compute the layout and draw curved links, with zooming enabled via `d3.zoom`. Text labels are positioned per node, with font size decreasing by depth, and the data is loaded from `data.json` using `d3.json`.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion using a tree layout. It displays all countries as text labels connected by curved links, with font size decreasing at deeper levels to indicate hierarchy. The implementation uses D3 v5 with `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, and `d3.linkHorizontal` to compute and draw the layout in SVG. Pan and zoom are enabled via `d3.zoom`, and the data comes from a local `data.json` file containing nested geographic groupings.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout rendered as SVG. The code uses D3 v5's `tree` layout and `linkHorizontal` path generator to position nodes and draw connecting links, with country names displayed as text labels sized by depth. Data comes from a JSON file containing a nested structure of world regions and countries, while zooming is implemented via D3's `zoom` behavior.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout rendered as SVG. The code employs D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` to compute positions and draw curved links, with each node labeled by its region or country name. Users can pan and zoom via `d3.zoom`, with font sizes scaling by node depth. Data comes from a static `data.json` file, and text styling uses the Playfair Display font with white shadows for legibility.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram rendered as SVG. It uses a D3.js v5 tree layout to position nodes and links, with the `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.linkHorizontal` modules generating the tree paths. The data is loaded from `data.json`, and the visualization supports mouse-wheel zooming via d3's zoom transform, applying it to a group element. Text labels show country names with a font size that decreases with tree depth.

World countries tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a collapsible tree layout rendered as SVG. The code employs D3 v5’s `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` generators to compute node positions and draw curved links, while `zoom` enables panning and scaling. Text labels vary in font size by depth, and the data comes from a local `data.json` file.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion. It renders a horizontal tree layout using D3’s `tree()` and `hierarchy()` functions, with countries positioned as leaf nodes. Links are drawn as curved paths via `linkHorizontal()`, while node labels use varying font sizes based on depth. The entire visualization is placed inside a zoomable group, allowing users to pan and scale through the `d3.zoom()` API. Data comes from a local `data.json` file, and the SVG output is styled with custom CSS, including a serif font and green link strokes.
