World Countries Tree

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion. The layout uses a tree diagram with horizontal links connecting parent nodes to their children, and text labels sized inversely to depth. The implementation leverages d3.hierarchy, d3.tree, and d3.linkHorizontal to compute positions and draw SVG paths, while d3.zoom enables panning and scaling of the entire tree. Data comes from a JSON file containing the geographic classification of nations.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram. The data is sourced from a JSON file representing countries by geographic region. Using d3.js v5, the layout is computed with `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy`, with links drawn via `d3.linkHorizontal`. Each country name appears as text, with font size scaling by depth. The SVG rendering supports zoom and pan through a `d3.zoom` interaction, allowing exploration of the full tree. Text styling uses the Playfair Display font, with white shadows for legibility.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram. The layout uses a `d3.tree` layout with `d3.hierarchy` and renders nodes as labels and edges as horizontal links via `d3.linkHorizontal`. Node text size decreases with depth, and the view supports zooming through a `d3.zoom` event handler. Data is loaded from a JSON file, styled with the Playfair Display font, and rendered as an SVG with a green stroke for connections.

World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout. The data, sourced from a JSON file, positions country names with larger text for higher-level regions and smaller text for individual nations. The visualization employs d3.tree and d3.hierarchy to compute the layout, while d3.linkHorizontal generates the curved connecting paths. The SVG rendering supports zooming and panning through d3.zoom, with a Playfair Display font for labels and mint-green colored links against a white background.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram. It uses D3 v5’s `tree()` layout and `hierarchy()` to compute node positions, with `linkHorizontal()` drawing curved paths between parent and child nodes. Each country name is rendered as SVG text, with font size decreasing by depth. The view supports zooming and panning via D3’s `zoom()` behavior, applied to a containing `<g>` element. Data is loaded from a local `data.json` file, and styling uses the Playfair Display font.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a horizontal tree diagram. Each node displays a country or region name, with font size decreasing at deeper levels. The tree layout uses D3’s `tree` and `hierarchy` functions, with `linkHorizontal` drawing the curved connections. Pan and zoom are enabled via `d3.zoom`, while text labels include white shadows for readability. Data comes from a JSON file with nested children, rendered as SVG elements with a custom Playfair Display font.

World Countries Tree

This visualization presents the hierarchical structure of world countries organized by continent and subregion, displayed as a horizontal tree layout. The hierarchical data is loaded from a JSON file and rendered as an SVG using D3 v5’s `tree` layout, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` path generator. Node labels are positioned according to their depth, with font size decreasing at deeper levels, and the entire graphic supports pan and zoom via D3’s `zoom` behavior.

World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and sub-region. The tree layout displays each country as a text label, with branching paths connecting nations to their regional groupings, using a zoomable interface for navigation. The code uses d3.hierarchy and d3.tree to compute the layout, d3.linkHorizontal for the connecting paths, and d3.zoom for panning and scaling. Data comes from a nested JSON file, and the SVG rendering highlights the structure with teal links and Playfair Display typography.
