Bowl of fruit - Click to select

Bowl of fruit click to select

This example shows a bowl of fruit that changes over time, with circles representing apples and lemons that users can click to select, highlighting the chosen fruit with a black outline. The visualization demonstrates animated transitions as fruits are removed, transformed, and repositioned using d3 transitions over one second. Built with React and d3.v5, the code uses `scaleOrdinal` for color and radius mapping, while selection and data binding manage the dynamic updates. The SVG rendering includes click handlers that trigger re-renders, and the fruit bowl shrinks and morphs as fruits disappear from the array.

Bowl of fruit Click to Select

A bowl of fruit visualization demonstrates animated selection and data updates. Five circles representing apples and lemons move horizontally, with the selected fruit highlighted by a black stroke. The view uses d3.select and d3.range to generate initial data, with scaleOrdinal mapping fruit types to colors and radii. Fruit removal, type changes, and interactive clicking trigger transitions via d3.transition().duration, animating circle positions and sizes over one-second intervals. The implementation uses React, SVG rendering, and D3 v5.

Bowl of Fruits - Click to Select

This example demonstrates a dynamic fruit bowl where apples and lemons are added, removed, and transformed with smooth animated transitions. Clicking any fruit logs its unique ID, though no visual selection is rendered. The visualization uses D3 v6’s data joins with key functions, ordinal scales for color and radius, and chained transitions to animate circle radius and text position. React provides the framework, while SVG elements are manipulated directly via D3 selections.

Bowl of Fruit - Clcik to Select

This interactive example displays a bowl of fruit as colored circles that can be clicked to select. The visualization uses D3’s `scaleOrdinal` to map fruit types to colors and radii, with apples in red and lemons in yellow. State changes—removing fruit or changing an apple to a lemon—are animated over one second using D3 transitions. The React-based code employs `selectAll` to update circles and `merge` for incremental rendering, with SVG strokes indicating the selected fruit.

Bowl of Fruit - Click to Select

A bowl of fruit demonstrates a click-to-select interaction with animated transitions. Apples and lemons render as colored circles using D3 v5's `scaleOrdinal` for color and radius, with smooth 1-second transitions on enter, update, and exit. Users click a fruit to highlight its selection with a black stroke. The code uses `selection.data`, `merge`, and `transition` to animate changes, while a script removes, replaces, and reorders fruits over time to show dynamic updates.

Bowl of Fruit - Click to Select

A bowl of fruit rendered as SVG circles lets users click individual apples or lemons to select them, highlighting the chosen fruit with a black stroke. Built with React and D3 v5, the visualization uses d3.scaleOrdinal for color and radius mappings based on fruit type, while React state manages the selected fruit's ID. Each circle responds to click events, updating the selection and re-rendering the components with animated transitions.

Bowl of Fruit - Click to select

This example shows an interactive bowl of fruit where circles represent apples and lemons, colored red and yellow via a d3.scaleOrdinal. Clicking a fruit selects it, logging the ID. The visualization uses d3 transitions to animate circles entering with radius 0, growing to size based on fruit type, and exiting by shrinking. Data changes occur over time: a fruit is removed, an apple transforms into a lemon, and another is filtered out, all rendering through a React-based d3 data join with keyed selection on fruit IDs.

Bowl of Fruit Click to Select

This example shows a bowl of fruit rendered as SVG circles, where clicking a fruit selects it with a black outline. The visualization uses React with D3 v5, employing `scaleOrdinal` for color and size mapping. D3’s data join and transitions animate fruit removal and type changes, with `transition().duration(1000)` updating circle positions and radii. Fruits are apples and lemons, and the code uses `selection.enter()`, `merge()`, and `exit()` to manage updates.
