Fork of World Countries Tree

Fork of World Countries Tree

This example presents a hierarchical tree visualization of countries organized by continent and subregion, with the world at the root. The tree uses horizontal links and text labels whose font size decreases with depth, displaying all country names in a readable layout. The visualization supports pan and zoom via the d3.zoom interaction, applying the transform to a group element. The code builds the layout with d3.tree and d3.hierarchy, renders links using d3.linkHorizontal, and loads the hierarchical data from a JSON file.

Fork of World Countries Tree

A static vertical tree chart displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, grouped by continent and subregion. The root node, "World," branches into continents like Asia, then into subregions such as Southern Asia, and finally into individual country names, with each level indented horizontally. The visualization uses the D3.js library, employing `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `linkHorizontal` layouts to position nodes and draw connecting paths. Text labels are rendered with a font size that decreases with tree depth, and a zoom interaction is enabled via `d3.zoom`. The data is loaded from a JSON file.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with the root labeled "Asia" and branches extending to regions like Southern Asia and individual nations. The D3 v5 code uses `d3.hierarchy` and `d3.tree` to compute the layout, `d3.linkHorizontal` to draw curved links between nodes, and `d3.zoom` for panning and zooming. Text labels render each node’s name with font sizes that shrink by depth, while styles.css applies a serif font and green stroke. The data comes from the bundled `data.json` file.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization displays the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using a horizontal tree layout. The D3.js code employs `d3.tree` and `d3.hierarchy` to compute node positions, `d3.linkHorizontal` to draw curved connecting paths, and `d3.zoom` to enable pan and zoom interactions. Text labels for each country and region are rendered directly in SVG, with font sizes decreasing by depth level. Data comes from the included `data.json` file, which nests countries geographically.

Fork of World Countries Tree 002

This example shows the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, as a vertical tree diagram. The visualization uses a D3 tree layout to compute node positions and renders paths with `d3.linkVertical` for connecting links. Text labels display country names with font sizes scaled by depth. The SVG rendering supports zooming and panning through the `d3.zoom` API. Data is loaded from a local JSON file using `d3.json`, and the code relies on D3 v5's `select`, `tree`, `hierarchy`, and `event` modules.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows the hierarchical structure of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, using an expandable tree layout. The data is loaded from a local JSON file and rendered as SVG paths and text labels. The code uses d3.hierarchy and d3.tree to compute the layout, d3.linkHorizontal to draw the connecting links, and d3.zoom to enable panning and zooming. Node labels are positioned along the tree, with font sizes decreasing at deeper levels, and text shadows improve readability over the green link lines.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization presents a hierarchical tree of world countries, organized by continent and subregion, with each country labeled as a leaf node. The tree layout positions nodes horizontally, with links drawn as curved paths and text labels scaled by depth. Built with D3 v5, it uses `d3.tree`, `d3.hierarchy`, and `d3.linkHorizontal` to compute and render the layout, while a zoom behavior enables panning and scaling of the SVG canvas. The data is loaded from a JSON file, and the styling uses a serif font with orange link strokes.

Fork of World Countries Tree

This visualization shows a hierarchical tree of world countries organized by continent and subregion, with the nation names rendered as text nodes connected by curved links. It uses a d3.tree layout with a horizontal link generator to position the hierarchy in an SVG canvas, and d3.zoom enables panning and zooming across the full-width and height layout. The data comes from a static JSON file, and the text size decreases with depth to emphasize regional groupings. The code leverages d3.select, d3.hierarchy, d3.linkHorizontal, and d3.event, with custom Playfair Display typography and a stroke color for the paths.
