Blank Canvas

Blank Canvas

A blank rectangular canvas fills the browser window, rendered as a single large SVG rectangle with rounded corners. The code creates this minimal visualization by selecting the `svg` element and setting its dimensions to match the viewport, then appending a `rect` with `rx` for rounded edges. It uses D3 v5's `select` and `json` imports, though no data is loaded or displayed, resulting in an intentionally empty, interactive-free surface. The styling relies on fixed positioning and hidden overflow to ensure the canvas occupies the entire screen.

Blank Canvas

A blank canvas fills the browser window, rendered as a single rounded rectangle. The visualization demonstrates the minimal setup for a D3 project, with no data or interaction. The code uses `d3.select` to target the SVG element and dynamically sizes it to the viewport's client dimensions. A `rect` is appended to the SVG, inheriting the full width and height with a corner radius, all rendered as vector graphics. The example relies on D3 v5’s core selection methods, not any specialized visualization API.

Blank Canvas

This example presents a minimalist blank canvas: a single, large rounded rectangle that fills the entire browser window. The visualization demonstrates a foundational D3 setup, using the `select` method to target an SVG element and dynamically setting its width and height attributes based on the viewport dimensions. It relies on the SVG rendering approach, appending a rectangle with `rx` for rounded corners. The code uses D3 v5, and the simple styles.css configures the body for a fixed, edge-to-edge display.

Blank Canvas

A blank, rounded rectangle fills the browser window, rendered as an SVG canvas. The visualization demonstrates a minimal scene setup using D3 v6, where the page dimensions define the SVG’s width and height. The code selects the SVG element, sets its attributes, and appends a single styled rectangle via D3’s `select` and `append` methods. No data is loaded or mapped; the focus is purely on establishing an empty visual field with the d3 library and inline SVG markup.

Blank Canvas

A blank canvas fills the browser window, rendered as a single rounded rectangle using D3 v5's `select` and SVG `attr` methods. The visualization displays no data, only an empty, fixed-position SVG that adapts to the viewport's dimensions. The code imports `select` and `arc` from D3, though only `select` is used to create the static shape. The HTML loads `styles.css` for full-bleed layout and `bundle.js` to execute the drawing logic.

Blank Canvas

A blank, interactive canvas fills the browser window, rendered as a single rounded rectangle sized to the full viewport. The visualization demonstrates a minimal SVG setup using D3 v5, where the `select` function targets the empty `<svg>` element and dynamically sets its width and height attributes based on `document.body.clientWidth` and `clientHeight`. A single `<rect>` is appended and styled with a corner radius of 40 pixels. No data is loaded or transformed; the piece exists purely as a static starting point for further layering.

Blank Canvas

A full-window, rounded rectangle fills the browser viewport as a blank canvas, rendered as a static SVG shape. The visualization demonstrates a minimalist setup using D3 v5’s `select` to target the SVG element and set its width and height attributes based on the document’s client dimensions. A single `rect` is appended with a large corner radius (`rx` of 40), and CSS fixes the body to eliminate scrolling. No data or interactive behavior is present; the piece simply showcases a clean, borderless visual starting point.

Blank Canvas

A blank, rounded-rectangle canvas fills the entire browser viewport, with its width and height set to the document’s client dimensions. The example demonstrates a minimal SVG setup using D3 v5, where the `select` and `arc` functions are imported but only `select` is used to append a single styled `<rect>`. The visualization shows no data or interaction, serving purely as an empty starting point. It relies on the D3 selection API and SVG attributes, with CSS fixed positioning to prevent page scrolling.
