This visualization presents a hierarchical classification of the Plant Kingdom as an animated, collapsible tree diagram. It shows the breakdown from the root into Non-Vascular and Vascular categories, further subdividing into Seed/Spore Bearing groups and specific examples like Angiosperms and Grasses. Built with D3.js v3 and jQuery, it uses `d3.layout.tree` for layout and SVG rendering. Node colors vary by type, and interactions include click-to-collapse, zooming via `d3.behavior.zoom`, and animated transitions for expanding and collapsing branches.

ICE-8 plant classification Tree

This interactive visualization displays a plant classification hierarchy as an animated tree diagram, starting from a PLANT root and branching into categories like NON-SEEDS, SEEDS, and SHRUBS, with leaf nodes such as FERNS, MOSSES, ALGAE, and CONIFERS. Built with D3 v3, it uses a force-directed tree layout (`d3.layout.tree`) to position nodes, with SVG rendering for custom rectangular nodes, links, arrow markers, and tooltips. The code implements zooming and dragging through `d3.behavior.zoom`, animates node updates with transitions, and loads hierarchical data from a JSON file via `d3.json`. Color-coded node types and interactive click-to-expand behavior enhance the exploration of the taxonomic structure.

ICE 8

This interactive tree diagram visualizes a botanical classification hierarchy, from Plants down to Monocots and Dicots. The SVG visualization uses D3.js v3’s `d3.layout.tree` and `d3.svg.diagonal` to render nodes and curved links. Clicking a node toggles its children via a transition, animating the tree’s layout. Circles are colored and stroked based on the `level` and `type` fields in the data, with labels positioned around each node.

Animal Kingdom ICE-8

This interactive tree diagram maps the hierarchical classification of the Animal Kingdom, branching from a root node into Vertebrates and Invertebrates, with further subdivisions like Warm/Cold Blooded and phyla such as Arthropoda. Implemented with the D3.js library, the visualization uses the `d3.layout.tree` and `svg.diagonal` functions to render nodes and curved links. Users can click any node to collapse or expand its children, triggering animated transitions via `transition` and `duration`. The SVG rendering features green leaf nodes, red links, and an aqua background, with data hard-coded as a JavaScript object.

ICE8-PLANTS TREES

An interactive tree diagram visualizes the hierarchical relationships of plants, with a root "PLANTS" branching into categories like flowers, cacti, vegetables, and jades. Circular nodes represent each entity, connected by green paths, and clicking a node expands or collapses its children with animated transitions. The visualization uses the D3.js library’s internal layout and diagonal projection APIs to position nodes and draw links, while SVG elements and CSS styling define the visual appearance. The page is built with a minimal HTML structure, with the data embedded directly in JavaScript.

Tree and Network - Family Tree(ICE-8)

This visualization presents a plant classification hierarchy as an interactive tree diagram, with nodes for categories like "PLANT," "NON-SEEDS," "SEEDS," and individual species such as "FERNS" and "SUNFLOWER." Built with D3 v3 and jQuery, it uses the `d3.layout.tree` layout and renders nodes as colored rectangles in an SVG, with green links and arrow markers. The tree supports zooming and dragging via `d3.behavior.zoom`, and includes tooltips on hover. Data is loaded from `mydata.json` and styled with custom CSS.

Plant Kingdom

This interactive tree diagram visualizes the hierarchical classification of the plant kingdom, from major divisions like Cryptogamae and Phanerogamae down to specific groups such as Algae and Dicotyledons. Users can click nodes to expand or collapse branches, with smooth animated transitions updating the layout. Built with D3 version 3.5, the visualization uses the `d3.layout.tree` and `d3.svg.diagonal` APIs to position nodes and draw connecting links. Data is loaded from an external JSON file and rendered as an SVG with animated node and link transitions.

ICE8_Tree

This interactive tree diagram displays a hierarchical classification of animals, with branching categories for vertebrates and invertebrates. The visualization uses D3.js to render an SVG layout with collapsible nodes, where clicking a node toggles its children in an animated transition. Data is loaded directly from a static JavaScript object, while the tree layout and diagonal link projections come from D3’s layout library. The animation updates node positions smoothly over a set duration, with circles and styled text labels for each species.

ICE-8 Animal Tree

This interactive visualization presents a hierarchical classification of animals as a branching tree. Built with D3.js v3, it uses an SVG-based layout with collapsible nodes, colored rectangles, and directional links to illustrate relationships between categories like vertebrates and non-vertebrates. The tree reads from a JSON data file and supports zoom and drag navigation via `d3.behavior.zoom`. Node colors correspond to taxonomic levels, while tooltips and click interactions reveal additional details about each group.
