HTML Starter

This example demonstrates the minimal setup for a D3.js visualization within an HTML page, rendering a single red SVG square. It uses React as the framework, with D3 v6 loaded via CDN. The code selects the SVG element with `d3.select`, applies a background color, and links an external stylesheet for heading formatting. It’s a bare-bones starter template showing how to combine core web technologies—HTML, CSS, and JavaScript—for SVG-based graphics.

This example presents a minimal interactive visualization built with React. The scene displays a force-directed network layout using `d3.forceSimulation`, where nodes and links are rendered as SVG elements. A static dataset is loaded from the source, and the simulation runs continuously to achieve equilibrium. The code demonstrates how to integrate D3's force engine with React's declarative component model, updating positions each tick. The visualization focuses on the emergent structure of the graph as forces push and pull connected nodes into a readable arrangement. The included HTML file serves as the bare-bones container for mounting the React application.
