Fork of Loading and Parsing CSV Data

This example demonstrates how to load and parse a CSV dataset containing CSS named colors. It reports the file size in kilobytes, the number of data rows, and the number of columns, displaying these statistics in a large text element. The code uses d3.csv to fetch and parse the CSV from a GitHub Gist, converting the parsed data back to CSV format with d3.csvFormat to calculate the byte size. Alternate commented-out approaches using the Fetch API, async/await, and d3.csvParse are also included.

This example shows a cartoon face built from simple SVG shapes—a yellow circle for the head, two eyes, and a mouth—centered on a canvas. The face's features are parameterized through props, including offsets, radii, and stroke widths. The code uses React with D3 v7 for the mouth, leveraging the D3 shape library's arc generator to create a half-circle path. The SVG is composed from functional components, with the root scene defined in index.js.
