HTML Starter

This example displays a horizontal bar chart of country populations using D3 v5. It loads data from a CSV file and appends SVG rectangles scaled by population values. The chart uses `d3.scaleLinear` for the x-axis, `d3.scaleBand` for the y-axis categories, and `d3.axisLeft` to render the country labels. A margin-based layout shifts the bars via an SVG `<g>` transform, with a 1000-person offset added to each population value before rendering.

Cars Report

This example demonstrates a text-based report of cars under a specified price, displayed in the browser. It uses JavaScript promises to simulate asynchronous data loading with a delayed response, then filters and formats car objects into a readable list. The code relies on native Promise, `setTimeout`, `JSON.parse`, array methods like `filter` and `map`, plus ES module imports and exports. The final output appears in a `<pre>` element with dynamic content updated after the data resolves.

Cars Report

This example demonstrates a JavaScript data-processing pipeline that filters and formats car listings into a text report, displayed as plain HTML text in the browser. The code uses `JSON.parse` on embedded car data, `Array.filter` to select cars under a price threshold, and `Array.map` with a custom `formatCar` function to produce formatted strings. The report appears on a webpage via `document.getElementById().textContent`, with the bundling handled by Rollup. The visualization relies on core JavaScript array and module methods rather than external libraries.

Hello world

This example displays the "make" value of the first car in a static dataset, rendering the text "Honda" in a large, centered message. It reads an array of five car records from a JSON string defined in cars.js, using the native `JSON.parse` API. The React framework is referenced in the metadata, though the visible implementation relies on vanilla JavaScript to access `document.getElementById` and set the `textContent` of a preformatted element. The output is purely textual with no interactive or graphical visualization.
