Shapes and Colors with SVG and CSS

This example demonstrates basic SVG shape creation and styling within a 960-by-500 viewport, using CSS to control visual properties. The index.html file contains an empty SVG element, while styles.css applies global body margins and overflow settings. Gender - Version 1.2

This interactive sunburst chart visualizes post-high-school paths for male and female participants, using a dropdown menu to switch between the two datasets loaded from separate JSON files. Hovering over a segment highlights its ancestor path and displays the percentage and raw count of participants following that exact route in the center. Built with D3 v4, the visualization uses `d3.partition` and `d3.arc` to compute and render the sunburst layout, with breadcrumbs and a color-coded legend for Military, School, Work, and NA categories.
