Fork of Simple Scatter Plot for DIVA

This scatter plot visualizes character properties from a Star Wars social network, showing PageRank against betweenness centrality on log-scaled axes. Each circle represents a character, with positions revealing correlations between these network influence metrics. The visualization uses d3's `scaleLog`, `extent`, `axisLeft`, and custom `viz` and axis label functions from `@curran/axis-labels` to render the chart within an SVG container. Data comes from the included `starwars_nodes_prop.csv` file, and circles are rendered with fixed radius and opacity values.

Fork of Simple Scatter Plot

This example visualizes the Palmer Penguins dataset, plotting bill length on the x-axis against flipper length on the y-axis using a simple scatter plot. The internal chart area is rendered as a gray rectangle, with labeled axes and semi-transparent circles representing individual penguins. Built with D3, the code uses `scaleLinear`, `extent`, `axisLeft`, and custom axis-label helpers from the `@curran/axis-labels` library to construct the visualization. Data comes from the `@curran/penguins` import and is drawn into a dynamic SVG sized to the container.

Fork of Penguins

This example displays the first row of the Penguins dataset as a JSON object in a large monospace font. The code imports the CSV data, parses the quantitative attributes into numbers, and sets body mass to zero, then outputs the parsed record with a `<pre>` element. It uses the D3 library for data loading, and the visualization serves as a minimal demonstration of data parsing and formatting. The dataset comes from the palmerpenguins repository.
