p5JS

In this interactive visualization, users draw freehand with the mouse, and their drawing is recreated as an animated series of rotating epicycles. The application uses the p5.js library to handle canvas rendering, mouse input, and animation. After the drawing is complete, the code computes its Discrete Fourier Transform to decompose the path into a set of frequency components, then sorts them by amplitude and reconstructs the shape using circular motion. The output shows both the tracing circles and the resulting magenta path being redrawn over time.

Fork of Smiley Face Pt. II

A grid of randomly generated yellow smiley faces appears, each rendered as an SVG component, showing variation in eye size, eye offset, mouth radius, and stroke width. Built with React and D3, the `Face` component composes smaller components like `BackgroundCircle`, `Eyes`, and `Mouth`, with the mouth using D3’s `arc` generator to create a half-circle path. The `index.js` file maps over an array of 18 faces, applying randomized parameters to each instance.

Smiley Face Pt. I

A smiling face rendered in yellow SVG using React components. The face is composed of a background circle, two eyes, and a mouth, all positioned relative to the center of a 960 by 500 viewport. The mouth is drawn using the d3.arc generator with specified inner and outer radii and angular range. This example demonstrates the composition of reusable React components for scalable vector graphics.

sin_wave_circles

A radial burst of circles emanates from the center of an SVG canvas, with each circle positioned along a sine-wave path to create a rippling, wave-like pattern. The visualization uses React components to render the SVG elements, while D3.js utilities handle the underlying data manipulation and coordinate calculations. The code loads CSS named color data via D3's fetching methods, though the current implementation focuses on the geometric arrangement of circles rather than color mapping, with the static SVG output measuring 960 by 500 pixels.
