Stylized Bar Chart

This stylized bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries using horizontal bars, with country names on the y-axis and population values on the x-axis. The chart is implemented in React with D3 v5, using `scaleBand` and `scaleLinear` for positioning, while SVG rectangles render the bars via the `Marks` component. Population data comes from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2019, loaded as CSV with `d3.csv`. The chart features a custom Poppins font and teal-colored bars, with hover tooltips showing population values.

Migrant Deaths Linked Views with Brushing

This interactive visualization combines a world map of migrant deaths with a linked time-series histogram. Users brush over the date histogram to filter the map’s bubble marks, which encode the total dead and missing per location. The map uses `d3.geoNaturalEarth1` with `d3.geoPath` for land, graticules, and interiors, while the histogram uses `d3.brushX` and `d3.bin`. React hooks like `useMemo` manage scales and filtered data, with data sourced from a CSV of missing migrants.
