D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the simplest possible D3 v5 setup: it renders a single congratulatory text message directly to the page body. Using the `select` API from D3, it targets the `body` element and applies the `.text()` method to insert the string. The code loads D3 from a CDN and runs a bundled JavaScript file, showing a minimal workflow for transitioning from D3 v3 to v6. No data or scales are involved, emphasizing the library’s core DOM-manipulation capabilities.

Test problem

This example displays a large, static "Hello D3 version 7" message centered on the page. The code imports `select` from D3 v5, which is loaded via a CDN, and uses it to set the body text. The page includes CSS styling for the message and empty SVG element definitions for potential graph paths, circles, and labels, though no data is loaded or visualized in this minimal demonstration.

SV Fork of HTML Starter

This example displays the text “Hello HTML” in massive 13em type, centered on a plain white page. It demonstrates a minimal HTML page using embedded CSS for styling and a JavaScript script that logs “Hello JavaScript!” to the browser console. The code relies on the standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript APIs, with no external libraries or data sources.

Fork of D3 Starter

This example demonstrates the simplest possible D3 version 7 setup by rendering the text “Hello D3 version 7” centered in the browser. It uses the `select` API from the `d3` module to target the `body` element and apply the text content. The `index.html` file loads D3 7.0.4 from the unpkg CDN and links to a compiled `bundle.js`. The accompanying README points to a video tutorial on getting started with D3 version 6, providing context for beginners.
