HTML Starter

This example displays the text “Hello HTML” centered on a blank page at a very large font size. It serves as a minimal starting point for web-based visualization projects, demonstrating the basic structure of an HTML document. The code uses a simple inline CSS `style` block within the `head` to set the `body`’s `text-align` to center and `font-size` to 10em. The page contains no JavaScript, data loading, or interactive elements, focusing solely on the foundational HTML tags and styling.

Face in D3.js

A face rendered in SVG is centered and composed of layered shapes: a yellow circle for the head, black circles for eyes, rectangular eyebrows, and a black arc for the mouth. Built with D3.js v5, the code uses `d3.select` to target the SVG and `d3.arc` to generate the mouth’s path. The eyebrows animate vertically via chained `transition().duration(2000)` calls, moving down and back up, demonstrating simple tweening of attributes on SVG groups.
