Fork of Persons of Concern StreamGraph by Origin

This fork of the Persons of Concern StreamGraph visualizes the total number of persons of concern (refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced persons, and others) from 2000 onward, grouped by country of origin and excluding countries with low counts. It uses a wiggle-offset stacked area chart rendered as SVG with d3.v4, with labels positioned via d3-area-label and interpolated yearly values computed from UNHCR Population Statistics data. The code employs d3.stack, d3.scaleTime, d3.scaleLinear, and d3.schemeCategory10 for coloring, with hover effects that highlight a path in black.

Fork of Fork of Fork of Stylized Bar Chart

A horizontal bar chart ranks the ten most populous countries by their 2020 estimated population, with a teal fill and labeled axes. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `scaleBand` for country categories, `scaleLinear` for population, and renders SVG rectangles via the `Marks` component. The `useData` hook loads UN World Population Prospects data from a Gist CSV, while `AxisBottom` and `AxisLeft` generate ticks. Population values are formatted using `d3.format` with "B" replacing "G" for billions.

Fork of Fork of Stylized Bar Chart

This example displays the ten most populous countries as horizontal bars, with country names on the y-axis and population totals on the x-axis, formatted in billions. Built with React and D3 v5, it uses `scaleBand` and `scaleLinear` to position bars and axes, rendered as SVG rectangles with native tooltips. The data comes from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2019 CSV, loaded via `d3.csv` and sliced to the top ten entries.

Fork of Stylized Bar Chart

This example shows the top 10 most populous countries as horizontal bars, with country names on the y-axis and population counts on the x-axis. The chart uses React components to render SVG elements, with D3 v5 scales (`scaleBand`, `scaleLinear`) and formatting (`format`) for the axes. Data is loaded from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2019 CSV via `d3.csv`. The bars include native SVG `<title>` tooltips, and styling employs the Poppins font with a teal color scheme.
