Sized Points on a Map
A world map displays cities with populations exceeding 50,000 as semi-transparent teal circles, with the circle radius scaled by the square root of each city’s population. The map uses a natural Earth projection with graticules and country boundaries derived from World Atlas TopoJSON, processed via the `topojson` `feature` and `mesh` APIs. City data comes from a Simplemaps CSV, and the visualization is built with React and D3, using `d3.geoPath` for map features and `d3.scaleSqrt` for the size encoding.
