This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, based on 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2017. It uses D3 v5’s `scaleLinear`, `scaleBand`, `axisLeft`, and `axisBottom` to render the SVG bars, with custom tick formatting using `format('.3s')` and an axis label. The chart also customizes axes by removing domain lines and tick lines, and includes a title. Population values are loaded from a CSV file and multiplied by 1000.
