This example demonstrates the k-means clustering algorithm on a small dataset of ten points loaded from a CSV file. Two initial centroids are randomly placed, and the animation iteratively assigns each point to the nearest centroid using Euclidean distance, updates cluster centers by computing their mean, and recolors the points accordingly over ten iterations. The SVG chart, rendered with D3 v6, uses `d3.csv` to load the data and `transition().delay()` to animate the movement of circles and centroids, with a label displaying the current iteration.

Fork of d3-voronoi-treemap usage

This example uses the d3-voronoi-treemap plugin to display the global economy by GDP as of January 2017, with countries sized by their economic weight and grouped by continent. Each country appears as a polygonal cell within a circular treemap, colored by its continent’s assigned hue. The code loads hierarchical JSON data, computes a weighted Voronoi treemap layout with a custom clipping polygon, and renders the result as SVG paths and labels. Built with D3 v4, it also includes hover effects and a color legend.

A force-directed bubble chart displays cars from the classic Motor Trends dataset, grouping models by brand origin (domestic, Japanese, or European) into colored clusters. The SVG visualization encodes each car's horsepower as the circle radius and labels nodes with truncated model names, while acceleration and MPG values are excluded from the visual mapping. Built with D3 v3, the layout uses `d3.layout.force` with custom cluster and collision functions to separate groups while preventing overlap.
