Untitled

This example shows a horizontal bar chart of national populations, using the ten most populous countries from a CSV file. The chart renders as an SVG and uses D3 v6 scales (`scaleLinear` for bar lengths and `scaleBand` for categorical y-axis placement), with `d3.axisLeft` and `d3.axisBottom` providing labeled axes. Population values from the data are multiplied by 1,000 before plotting, and bars are colored via a CSS rule targeting `rect` elements. The React framework is present in the starter code but does not drive this visualization directly.

Makeing a Bar Chart with D3

This example displays a horizontal bar chart ranking country populations, drawing data from a CSV file that lists countries alongside their population figures. The chart visualizes the relative population sizes of nations like China, India, and the United States using black bars on an SVG canvas. The React-based code uses D3 version 6 methods including `scaleLinear` for the population axis, `scaleBand` for the categorical country axis, `axisLeft` and `axisBottom` for the chart’s axes, and `csv` to load the data, with all population values multiplied by 1000 for display.

Make a face with the use of D3.js

A yellow SVG face with black-outlined features animates its eyebrows and mouth. D3.js v6 shapes the face using `arc()` for the smile and appended `circle` and `rect` elements for the eyes and brows. Chained `transition()` calls with a two-second duration repeatedly move the eyebrows upward and adjust the mouth’s inner and outer radii, creating a looping expression. The face is centered and scaled using the SVG’s dimensions in a React-based starter.

Shapes with SVG and CSS

This example demonstrates how SVG shapes and CSS styling can be combined to create a static composition of circles, rectangles, lines, and a path. The view shows basic geometric primitives arranged in groups, with some shapes using default black fills and others explicitly colored via the `fill` attribute or CSS classes. The code uses React to render an SVG container with a scaling transform, while a CSS class named `.lines` applies stroke properties to the line and path elements, including a rounded line join. The visualization relies on native SVG elements like `<circle>`, `<rect>`, `<line>`, and `<path>`, with no external data source.

Cars Report

This example displays a report of cars priced above $2,500, formatted as a list of year, make, model, and price. It simulates a delayed data fetch with a two-second timeout, showing a "Loading..." message until the promise resolves. The React application uses JavaScript promises and JSON parsing, with custom functions `getCars` and `generateReport` filtering and formatting the data. The report renders into a preformatted HTML element styled with CSS, demonstrating asynchronous data handling and text-based output.
