Fork of D3 Selection Exploration

A fork of an interactive D3 selection exploration demonstrates animated circles moving vertically along a sine wave, with their radii and positions updating dynamically. Generated data from `makeData.js` drives the visualization, which uses D3's `selectAll`, `data`, and `join` methods to bind circles and a path to the SVG. The `line()` generator renders a connecting curve, while a `setInterval` loop updates the scene every frame. The visualization relies on D3 v6.6.2, rendering SVG elements in the browser, with circles colored in pastel pink.

Fork of Sol LeWitt Reproduction

This example reproduces a Sol LeWitt art piece using raw SVG elements. It generates 100 vertical rectangles, each 10 pixels wide, that span the full height of the viewport. A circular mask, centered on the screen with a 200-pixel radius, limits the visible portion of these bars, creating a clean, geometric composition. The code uses the SVG `mask` element and dynamically creates rectangles and the circle via standard DOM APIs, with no external libraries or data sources.

Untitled

This example shows a minimal SVG graphic containing a red text label with two tspan lines. It introduces D3 version 6 by using the `select` function from the d3 module to set the body’s text content to “Hello D3 version 7”, despite the README’s reference to version 6. The SVG is defined directly in the HTML markup with fixed width and height attributes, using basic text and tspan elements for line breaks. The code demonstrates how to combine static SVG with a D3 selection for a simple DOM update.
