Fork of Vega-Lite API Template

This visualization presents a scatterplot of automotive data, showing the relationship between engine displacement and horsepower, with points colored by production year and sized according to vehicle weight. Built using the Vega-Lite API, the chart defines visual encodings through a fluent API, mapping quantitative fields to x and y axes, an ordinal temporal field to color, and another quantitative field to point size. The data is loaded asynchronously from a CSV file using d3’s `csv` function, and custom configuration settings adjust axis tick colors, font sizes, and label styling for improved readability. The resulting SVG render is generated via Vega-Lite’s rendering pipeline, with tooltips enabled through the vega-tooltip handler.

Fork of HTML Starter

This example demonstrates the simplest possible HTML page created as a starting point for web development. It uses CSS to style a centered message with an extremely large font size, while a JavaScript script loads React and D3 libraries. The code imports `arc` from D3 and logs it to the console, showing how to access D3’s drawing functions. The page renders a static HTML div with the text “HTML!” as its only visible content, relying on React and D3 for potential future interactive elements.

Fork of HTML Starter

This example demonstrates a minimal HTML page that displays the text “aaa HTML!” at a large, centered font size. It uses a single CSS class to control the typography and layout, with the message placed inside a plain div element. The code is a bare-bones template for rendering static text in the browser, with no JavaScript libraries or data processing involved. The styling is defined inline within a style tag, and the page structure consists solely of the document’s head and body sections.
