Fork of Rendering Data with React & D3

This radial burst visualization displays all 148 CSS named colors as equal-width slices arranged in a full circle, using each color’s own fill to create a striking color wheel. Built with React and D3.js v5, the example loads color data from a CSV file via `d3.csv`, then uses `d3.pie` to compute arcs and `d3.arc` to generate SVG paths. The React component renders the result into an SVG element, with each slice’s fill color taken directly from the dataset’s `RGB hex value` column.

Fork of Loading Data with React & D3

This example demonstrates how to load and summarize CSS named color data in a React application. It displays the dataset’s size in kilobytes, row count, and column count as plain text. The code uses React hooks (`useState`, `useEffect`) to manage asynchronous data loading, alongside D3’s `csv` method to fetch the remote CSV file. After loading, `d3.csvFormat` calculates the file size from the parsed data, while the message component formats the statistics. The visualization is minimal, focusing on the integration of D3’s data utilities with React’s state management.

Fork of Loading Data with React & D3

This example demonstrates how React manages asynchronous data loading for visualization, displaying a summary of CSS named colors from a CSV file. The app uses the `useState` and `useEffect` React hooks to fetch data with D3’s `d3.csv` utility and store it in component state. While loading, the UI shows a placeholder; once the data arrives, it renders a message via the `message` function, which formats the dataset’s size in kilobytes, row count, and column count using `d3.csvFormat` and array properties. The visualization is a simple text output, not a graphical chart.

Fork of Loading and Parsing CSV Data

This example displays a message summarizing a CSV dataset of CSS named colors. It reports the file size, row count, and column count in a large text format. The code uses the D3.js library (v5) to fetch the remote CSV with `d3.csv`, which returns a promise, and then formats the data with `d3.csvFormat` to calculate its size. The resulting information is injected into the DOM via JavaScript’s `document.getElementById`.

Fork of Hello HTML

A simple SVG face built with React and D3 renders a yellow circle with two eyes and a mouth. The background circle uses the `BackgroundCircle` component, while the mouth is generated using `d3.arc` with specified inner and outer radii and angle ranges. Eye positions are set via SVG circle coordinates, and the entire group is centered using a translate transform. All shapes are drawn directly as SVG elements within a fixed 960×500 viewport.
