This bar chart shows the total number of rocket launches per year, broken down by company, using a global space launches dataset loaded from a CSV via `d3.csv`. The visualization uses a stacked bar mark with Vega-Lite, encoding the year on the x-axis, the count of launches on the y-axis, and company name for color. Data is aggregated with `groupby` and a count operation, and the chart is rendered with SVG, using vega-tooltip for interactive hover details.

Fork of Coronavirus Deaths Over Time by Country

This interactive line chart displays cumulative COVID-19 deaths over time for ten countries, using a logarithmic y-axis to accommodate varying death tolls. Each country’s trajectory is rendered as a colored path in an SVG canvas, with randomized stroke colors assigned per series. The React application fetches data from the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus dataset via `d3.csv`, processes it with `d3.timeParse`, and builds the visualization using `d3.scaleTime`, `d3.scaleLog`, and `d3.line`. Axes are generated with `d3.axisBottom` and `d3.axisLeft`, and the chart updates responsively to window dimensions.

A word cloud displays the 30 most frequently used emoji from the Emojitracker API, with each emoji sized by the square root of its score relative to the maximum. The visualization animates word placement using the d3-cloud layout, which renders SVG text elements that are positioned and scaled within an 800×600 viewport. The React app fetches ranking data asynchronously with Axios and triggers the cloud layout’s animation, leveraging d3-dispatch events to update the state when placement completes.
