LANGUAGES FAMILY TREE
This visualization presents a hierarchical tree of language families, mapping the relationships between major groups like Indo-European and Sino-Tibetan down to individual languages such as English, Hindi, and Mandarin. Using the D3.js library, the interactive graphic renders nodes for each language and links to show parent-child connections, with hover effects providing clarity. The code builds the tree from a nested JavaScript object and applies D3’s force simulation to position elements, displaying them as collapsible circles and text labels within an SVG, styled with CSS for simple interactivity.
