SF Arrests
This visualization maps one week of San Francisco police incident reports that resulted in arrests, using a conic equal-area projection and custom D3 projections. It draws neighborhood boundaries and street lines as GeoJSON basemaps via `d3.json` and `d3.geoPath`, then overlays arrest locations as semi-transparent circles. The arrest data is fetched live from the Socrata SODA API, filtered with SQL-like `$where` clauses for arrest resolutions, date range, and non-null coordinates. Interactivity includes neighborhood highlighting and a tooltip showing district names, with D3 v5 and SVG rendering.
