Fork of Bowl of Fruit - General Update Pattern Special Cases
This example demonstrates the general update pattern in D3.js, showing how data joins handle three special cases: removing an element, updating an existing element's properties, and filtering out an element by index. It visualizes a bowl of fruit where apples are red and lemons are yellow, with fruit size scaled by type. The code uses D3 v5 with `selection.enter()`, `selection.merge()`, and `selection.exit()` to manage SVG groups, circles, and text elements. The fruitBowl module imports `scaleOrdinal` from D3 for color and radius mappings, while index.js uses `select` and `range` to orchestrate timed updates.
