Fork of Hello VizHub

This example demonstrates a minimal setup for a D3.js visualization using ES6 modules. It displays the text "Hello VizHub!" centered in the browser via D3’s `select` function, which sets the content of a div. The code imports `select` from the D3 library and a custom `message` string from a local module, showing both CDN-loaded D3 and local module imports. Styling is handled through CSS, with the text rendered at a large font size.

Fork of Untitled

This visualization shows a hierarchical dataset of political and armed groups using a circle-packing layout. It displays how groups are nested within categories like "armed," "communist," and "islam," with each leaf labeled by its name. The code uses D3’s `pack` function to compute the circles, then renders them as an SVG with drop shadows, clip paths, and wrapped text. The color scale encodes the tree depth, and hover tooltips reveal the full path and value. The data originates from a `data.json` file, though the accompanying HTML also loads a Google Charts Sankey diagram from pre-processed rows.

Fork of HTML Starter

This example displays the text “Hello HTML” centered on the page at a very large font size. It shows the basic structure of an HTML document that combines CSS for styling and JavaScript for interactivity. The code uses inline CSS to set the text alignment and font size, and a script tag to log a message to the browser’s console. It serves as a minimal demonstration of how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together in a single page.
