Creating a Bar chart!
This example shows a bar chart of country populations, though the bars are currently rendered as identical 300-by-300-pixel squares rather than varying by data value. The visualization uses d3.csv to load the data, converts the population strings to numbers, and appends SVG `<rect>` elements to the chart. It relies on d3’s `select`, `csv`, and a static `scalelinear` import, though no scale is actually applied. The SVG canvas is 960 by 500 pixels, and the data comes from a local CSV file with ten countries and their populations in thousands.
