Cars Scatterplot

This scatterplot visualizes relationships between variables from the auto-mpg dataset, plotting horsepower against miles per gallon. It uses D3 v5 with SVG rendering, employing `d3.csv` to load data, `d3.scaleLinear` for axes, and `d3.axisLeft` and `d3.axisBottom` for gridlines and tick marks. Each circle represents a car, with semi-transparent steelblue styling. The chart includes rotated axis labels and a dynamically generated title indicating the plotted variables, with axis tick formatting using `d3.format`.

Making a barchar

This example shows the population of nine countries as horizontal bars, sorted from China to Russia, with the title “Top populous countries” and labeled axes. The bar chart is rendered as SVG using D3 v5, with `scaleLinear` for the x-axis and `scaleBand` for the y-axis. Data from a CSV file is loaded via `d3.csv`, and population values are multiplied by 1000. Axis and tick formatting use `axisLeft`, `axisBottom`, and `format('.3s')`, with gridlines drawn via `tickSize`.
