Making a Bar Chart with D3

This example demonstrates how to build a bar chart from a CSV file of country populations. An SVG container is set up with dimensions defined in the HTML, and the code uses D3’s `select` and `csv` methods to load the data. The title and file structure indicate a basic template, though the current script only logs the data to the console after parsing. The chart’s visual encoding is not yet implemented, leaving the SVG blank until actual bars are added.

Let's make a face with D3

A smiling face composed of simple geometric shapes is rendered in an SVG canvas. A large yellow circle forms the head, with two smaller black circles for eyes and a dark arc for the mouth, all centered within a 960 by 500 pixel space. The example uses D3 version 7 to select the SVG element and append the shapes, with the mouth drawn via the `d3.arc` API, which constructs a path based on specified inner and outer radii and angular ranges.
