Bowl of Fruit - General Update Pattern Special Cases
A bowl of fruit demonstrates the general update pattern with special cases, showing apples and a lemon transitioning as the dataset changes over time. Using D3 v5 with SVG, the code binds fruit data to selection, merging enter and update sets to handle position, color, and radius via ordinal scales. It re-renders on timers to remove, modify, and filter elements without explicit transitions, relying on the update pattern’s join logic.
