Fork of Choropleth Map
This choropleth map displays the world’s countries color-coded by their economy type, using a spectral color scale assigned via `scaleOrdinal()` and `schemeSpectral`. Built with D3 v5, it renders geographic paths using `geoPath()` with an `geoEquirectangular()` projection, layered over a blue sphere. Hovering highlights a country in red, and a legend—constructed with `colorLegend.js`—shows the discrete color categories. Data is joined from TopoJSON and TSV files supplied by the world-atlas package, which are loaded via `loadAndProcessData.js`.
