Fork of Reusable D3 Scatter Plot

This interactive scatter plot visualizes Walmart sales data, plotting temperature against sales year with draggable, animated transitions. Every two seconds, the x-axis automatically cycles through different data columns—year, temperature, weekly sales, and fuel price—updating the circles’ positions accordingly. Built with D3 v6, the visualization uses scaleLinear, axisLeft, axisBottom, and a reusable scatterPlot factory function to manage state. Data loads from a CSV via d3.csv, and the SVG renders with a custom Share Tech font, creating a dynamic exploration of retail metrics.

Fork of Reusable D3 Scatter Plot

This interactive scatter plot cycles through four different attribute pairings of the Iris Dataset every two seconds, animating the positions of the data points. Built with D3.js, it uses the `scaleLinear` API for value-to-coordinate mapping, `axisLeft` and `axisBottom` for chart scaffolding, and `selectAll` with the `join` operator to update SVG circles. The plot resizes to fill the browser window and renders with a custom font.

Fork of Reusable D3 Scatter Plot

This fork of a reusable D3 scatter plot visualizes the Iris Dataset, revealing relationships between measurements like petal width and sepal length. It cycles through four column pairs every two seconds, animating the x-axis and repositioning circles via setInterval. The chart uses d3.scaleLinear for scaling, d3.axisLeft and d3.axisBottom for axes, and d3.selectAll with data joins to update SVG circles. The code loads CSV data via d3.csv and applies a custom margin and radius, with the full viewport as the rendering area.

Fork of Reusable D3 Scatter Plot

This example presents an animated scatter plot of the Iris dataset, cycling through different x-axis dimensions (petal width, sepal width, petal length, sepal length) every two seconds while keeping sepal length on the y-axis. It uses D3 v6 APIs including `scaleLinear`, `extent`, `axisLeft`, `axisBottom`, and `selectAll().join()` to render SVG circles and update axes. The reusable chart module, defined via a closure with getter-setter methods, is called with `.call(plot)` to re-render the visualization.

Fork of Smiley Face Part III

This example builds a stylized smiley face from scratch using D3 v5 and React, rendered as SVG. The face’s geometry is defined by explicit coordinates for the eyes, nose, and mouth, with D3 arc generators (`d3.arc()`) creating the curved mouth, lips, eyebrows, and ears. React mounts the SVG components via `ReactDOM.render`, while D3’s `arc` API supplies the path data for those shapes. The code shows a static, yellow circular head with black strokes, white-and-black eyes, a red nose, and matching ears, all positioned through SVG `<g>` transforms.
