Choropleth Map

This choropleth map displays world countries as filled paths using a Mercator projection. The visualization loads geographic data from the world-atlas TopoJSON file and converts it to GeoJSON with the `feature` function from topojson. Each country path is rendered through D3’s `geoPath` and `geoMercator` APIs, with CSS styling applying a green fill and light stroke. The map is drawn as static SVG elements within a 960x500 viewport.

Untitled

A horizontal bar chart displays population estimates for ten countries, with bars colored in a warm orange against a teal background. The chart uses `d3.csv` to load data, `d3.scaleLinear` for the population axis, and `d3.scaleBand` to position bars per country. SVG rendering is performed via D3 v5, with axes created through `d3.axisLeft` and `d3.axisBottom`. Population values are formatted using `d3.format` with abbreviations like "B" for billions. Axes, grid lines, and domains are selectively removed to simplify the visual presentation.

Hello VizHub

This example demonstrates a minimal D3.js setup within the VizHub environment, displaying a simple text message on a webpage. The visualization uses a single `<div>` element to render the output, with styling handled by an external CSS file. The code loads D3 v5 from a CDN and separates logic into an `index.js` module that imports a message from `myMessage.js`. It highlights the basic structure of a D3 project, including HTML entry point, modular JavaScript, and stylesheet integration, without any data or complex rendering.

Hello VizHub

This example displays the text “Hello VizHub!” in large, light-colored Ubuntu font against a dark blue background. It demonstrates basic D3.js usage by selecting a DOM element and setting its text content, while also showing how to structure a webpage with separate HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. The visualization imports the `select` function from D3 and a local ES6 module, `myMessage.js`, to populate the message. The styling relies on the Google Fonts API for the Ubuntu typeface.
