This example demonstrates the simplest possible D3 visualization: a page that displays the text “Hello D3 version 9” centered on a white background. The code loads D3 version 7.8.2 via a CDN and uses the `d3.select` API to target the document’s body element, then calls the `text` method to set its text content. The rendering approach is purely DOM-based, with no data source or graphical marks involved.
