Making a Bar Chart

This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. The code loads data from a CSV file and renders it as an SVG using d3.csv, d3.scaleLinear, d3.scaleBand, d3.axisLeft, and d3.axisBottom. Population values are multiplied by 1000 after parsing, and bars are appended with a steelblue fill. The chart includes left and bottom axes with margins for clear labeling.

Making a Bar Chart

This bar chart displays the populations of the ten most populous countries, using 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects. The chart is rendered as an SVG graphic, with each country represented by a blue bar. The code employs D3 v5’s `scaleLinear` for the population axis and `scaleBand` for the country axis, drawing axes with `axisLeft` and `axisBottom`, while reading the data from a CSV file.

Cars Scatter Plot

This scatter plot visualizes the relationship between horsepower and weight for cars from the UCI Machine Learning Repository’s Auto MPG dataset. Each red circle represents a car, with positions scaled linearly along both axes using d3.scaleLinear and extent. The visualization includes labeled axes with tick marks and a title, rendered as SVG elements. The code uses d3.csv to load the data, d3.axisLeft and d3.axisBottom for the axes, and d3.select to manipulate the SVG container.
