Mysterious VizHub Error Debug Helper

This example demonstrates a minimal debugging aid for VizHub error handling. It loads population data from a CSV file using d3.csv and logs a console message upon successful data retrieval. The visualization renders an empty SVG canvas sized at 960 by 500 pixels using D3 v5, with the data itself not yet displayed. The code imports select and csv from D3, and uses a promise chain to handle asynchronous data loading.

Customizing

This bar chart displays the population of the top 10 most populous countries, based on 2018 estimates from the United Nations World Population Prospects 2017. The visualization showcases customized D3 v5 axes, with the chart drawn as SVG using `d3.select` and `d3.csv` to load the data. Styling via CSS sets the bar fill, tick text, and axis labels, while the title and labels use the `.tick` and `.axis-label` classes.
