This example presents a time-series line chart of stock prices, plotting daily closing values as a continuous path over time. The visualization includes circular data points for each date, which reveal the exact value via a tooltip on mouseover or hide it on mouseout, alongside standard axis scales. The code uses D3 v7 with `d3.csv` to load data, `d3.scaleTime` and `d3.scaleLinear` for axes, `d3.line` for the path, and `d3.axisBottom`/`d3.axisLeft` to render the coordinate system. Interactive tooltips are styled via a `div.tooltip` element, with the SVG output rendered at a fixed 960 by 500 pixel dimension.
